I do recall reading a post or two on two agility drills. One was having balls at the intersections of base/service/side lines and having to pick each ball one by one, each time returning the ball to the center of the base line. there were times posted that indicated how a casual/college/pro/man/woman times should be.
the other was about running between side lines for 30 seconds and counting how many times you can do it in that time. similarly times for casual/college/pro/man/woman were provided. Anybody has links to those? thank you. |

@spacediver - thanks. Although I think I have seen a different post. I seem to recall that a (very) good time was around 17sec rather than <22sec. Thanks anyway.

the other was about running between side lines for 30 seconds and counting how many times you can do it in that time. thank you.[/QUOTE] this is not a true agility drill but one of 3 fitness test echeberry uses. you stand in the center of the service box with racquet in hand .you touch the center line of the service box and the the side line of the service box (or reverse) and see how many you can do in 30 seconds . rest 30 seconds and repeat for 3 trials. a pro will touch 38 times (male) and 32 (female). there also are guidelines by age 40 y/o 34/33 m/f 50 y/o 29/25 m/f/ 60 y/o 26/22 m/f/. im 56 and do 22 |
