I tried just about every Destiny I could find, and I like them a lot. But I've gone a different way. So, I have a bunch of Destiny racquets, which are all in good to excellent condition. The general opinion seems to be that the Pure Drive derives from the Destiny. Great solid feel with these racquets. I can provide pictures. mike_penick@hotmail.com
Ceramic Destiny midplus 95, 4 3/8, 27", 12.6 oz strung. Beautiful red racquet with white head guard and grommets. Recently strung with Gosen OG Sheep 17 at 60 lbs. Original leather grip is very good and overall the racquet is probably an 8--very minor court rash. Full cover in excellent conditon. $60 shipped. Destiny 01FX midplus with C.O.T.S. (Circle Oval Tapered System) 95, 4 3/8, 26 3/4", 12.2 oz strung. 80% graphaite, 20% fiber glass composite. Mica flake in grip absorbs vibration. Beautiful gun metal gray racquet with gray head guard and grommets. Strung with a synthetic gut. Original leather grip is very good and overall the racquet is probably an 8.5--very minor court rash, less than the Ceramic. Full cover in excellent conditon. $60 shipped. Composite Destiny midplus 95, 4 1/2, 27", 12.6 oz strung. Light blue racquet, recently strung with Alpha Gut 2000 17 at 60 lbs. Original leather grip is heavily used, and I put an overgrip. Overall the racquet is probably a 7--moderate court rash. Has head cover. $40 shipped. Composite Destiny midplus 95, 4 1/4, 27", 12.6 oz strung. Light blue racquet, original string. Original leather grip is good and overall the racquet is probably a 9--I see no scrapes, scratches, chips, etc. Has head cover. $50 shipped. Composite Destiny AVC* midplus 95, 4 5/8, 27", 12.8 oz strung. Dark green racquet, recently strung with Gosen OG Sheep at 60 lbs. I have two overgrips on it instead of a g, since that bring it down to 4 1/2. It has a fair amoung to cosmetic damage, not ugly, but probaly a 6--a good racquet though. No head cover. $30 shipped. Ceramic Destiny AVC* 4 3/8, 27", 12.8 oz strung. Blue and purple (with some pink text). Recently strung with Gosen OG Sheep 17 at 60 lbs. Nearly new Gosen replacement grip, overall the racquet is probably a 6.5--some rash and chips. No cover. $30 shipped. *AVC stands for Anti Vibration Components, built in vibration dampners at 3, 9 and 6 o'clock. mike_penick@hotmail.com Excellent references on the board and that auction site. |

The Ceramic Destiny and Destiny 01FX are gone. I'll take offers on the others.
