where do you put it just the top of the racket bumper or the sides also

It is meant to protect the racket. Put it where you drag your racket on the court.
Sorry I just read that again and it appears to me to be condescending. That is not how I meant it to come out. Put the tape where you racket gets damaged is a better way to put it. But you should only use one strip unless you are overlapping the tape. Irvin

I actually tape from 8 o'clock to 4 o'clock since I started playing doubles, which requires a lot of low volley...so it depends on the game and how you play...
