I played a match in a tournament today and it should have been an easy match.
I won the first set 6-0 but afterwards I just didn't feel like playing anymore and ended up losing. Has anyone felt this way before and if you have, how did you snap out of it? |

What do you mean "didn't feel like playing anymore?" Were you physically worn down or were you distracted mentally?

More like bored and the guy I was playing seemed like a sore player.
At the end of the 1st set which he lost, he just started kinda throwing the balls to me but in a kinda horrible way. I guess I lost the enjoyment of playing after the 1st set. I dont play many matches so my mental game isn't that strong yet. |

you need the killer instinct, if he is horrible you be horrible back or better just ignore him and remain pleasant, but focussed and continue to kick his *****. Winning 6-0 then losing (unless opponent really really raised his game) is a poor show. Need to toughen up. Eye of the tiger and all that.

Arrgh, I was going to post the answer to all your problems, but got distracted before I could write it down. Sorry.

Thanks for your replys, I guess its a bit of everything.
Not happy with the outcome so I am just looking for excuses to justify the poor performance and also just didnt have the mental strength to close the match out. Well I got another match coming up soon so hopefully I'll learn from this bad exp and start winning consistantly. Thanks again. |
