Anyone play with a grip between SW and full western?

I used to play with a grip thats inbetween SW and full western. Recently I changed to SW because it feels better when I strike the ball, but as a consequence my margin for error has decreased. I used to get a lot more topspin with my old grip with a little less pace, but now I can't generate as much topspin as I did before. I want to stick with the SW grip, but I need my more topspin! Anyone have any advice?
