I don't know if you know it, but there is a subforum called "Odds and Ends" (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21), where you can find threads like "Roger Federer's feet" (Fed's fans are so obsessed ), "Guys only: best legs..." I would say that a "Rafa private" thread could find its place there too. The concentration of gossip during the off-season is not what some people (me, for example) expect here.

Not a bad idea. At least then there would be hopefully fewer people pooh-poohing and looking down their noses at "frivolous gossip". I personally don't see the big deal.

Well, in all fairness, the thread's name is Nadal News. Right now he's not up to anything tennis related. But what he's been upto is also Nadal news. When there are no matches going on, obviously all Nadal news will not be tennis related. Might seem like a cheap excuse, but women get carried away at times . But if all the interlaced gossip bothers you then the last couple of days can be summarized as follows:

~Nadal is taking a 2 week break after Wimby.
~Nadal went to the WC in South Africa where he provided his home team with support and then partied and celebrated after.
~About a week later Nadal was spotted playing golf at a benifit tournament to help raise money for ADAA (non-profit association to aid the people with health problems of the Balearic Islands).
~He also purchased a share in Real Mallorca, however, they are still not being allowed to play, (this was found out yesterday)
~In an interview taken after wimbledon Rafa was asked a question about religion, where his answer caused a stir. It was discovered though that Toni himself in the past has made bold statements about his view on religion.
~Nadal recently purchased a place in Ibiza where he was found relaxing and taking pictures with several fans on the beach.
~He also took time to go golfing in his personal time, with his gf. In addition he spent a good amount of times with just his guy friends as well.
~His gf finally graduated and Nadal wasn't present.
~There was talk that Rafa might sail on the freedom flotilla to protest the events that to place in Gaza strip.
~As of today he is back at practice

She went to Ibiza. Tons of celebrities go to Ibiza every summer. It's the capital of the world for partying! But yeah, she probably said "hi" to Rafa since he was in Ibiza too.

yes actually, I'm doing a 10 day thing I'll be going to Prague-Vienna-Budapest rather excited actually! Never been to Europe!

That sounds wicked, I'm terribly envious!

My permanent address is in the UK but thanks to my job, I've "lived" in 3 different countries in the last year, 3 month rotation each time. I've got another two to go and then I'll be done, able to plant roots once again. Can't wait!

EDIt: I just found the "I hate Rafael Nadal" page on fb. I must say people really need to get a life. People have said such seriously hateful things about him, it's so ridiculous! It's as if he personally hurt them. If you criticize his tennis or even mannerisms, whatever, but people wanted him to burn or die!! I'm like what??? That is NOT normal. lol.

Agreed. She had her chances, but a lack of ability (Wimbledon, the following generation, etc.), and her own self-destructive eating/image issues ultimately placed her exactly where she deserved to be.

Where did Seles come from? Although looking at forums like these, it's a surprise neither Fed nor Rafa have been attacked. Esp Rafa moves around like he's a nobody!
