I completely forgot about Zebest. They had a bunch of Clones in the early 90's.

Hey y'all! CoachRick mentioned Zebest and Porsche back on the first page! Just sayin'

and...

Forgot ZEBEST; but, that may be too Atlanta-centric. Seems like they supplied a number of U.S. college players in the '90s.

Oo, oo...how about the Mitt Rocker?

How about a DIY home remodeling show: 'Adding a new wing to the garage to house the ever-expanding racket collection' ?

Virginia, not sure if Ascot has been mentioned, but there is one such racquet brand on the local site now.

Yes, I've just bought it! It's apparently a German brand, so I'm very happy to welcome it into my "family".

My total is now 96, having added an Ascot, Gauthier and just today, a Fansteel Super Graphite.

Now that I'm so close, I really MUST aim for 100 - such a nice, round number.

I missed this post - you have actually seen a Wilding? Please tell me more!

Were "Zebest", "Zebra" and "Zeta" all the same?

Have just added Rosner and Rex (also known as Tegno) to the list. Only two to go.

That's because Babolat is not a tennis racquet. It's a WMD (Weapon of Mass Destruction).

Zebra and Zebest were the same company. (I don't think "Zeta" has anything to do with the other two.) Zebra was a company in Atlanta in the 1980s, but they changed their name to Zebest for legal reasons. The company went out of business (some time in the 1990s?).

I bought quite a bit of string from Vincent(owner) until the mid-'90s. Used to drive up to his house in Alpharetta to save shipping time. I ended up buying a couple hundred sets of string from a 'bay seller who apparently bought the leftover stock. They had a 'crystal' poly that was way ahead of its time.

If I may hijack further, I grew up in Columbia and worked at Jeff P's Tennis and Ski shop until '79. Small world.

Regs,
Yes, how could I forget about Vantage. And speaking of Vantage, has Bosworth been mentioned?
