Default Only player in the draw?

I signed up for a tournament that was scheduled to be played tomorrow but I just checked the draws. Only one competitor signed up to play Open, only one signed up for 4.5 singles, one 4.5 doubles team, one 3.5 singles, and one 3.5 doubles team. What happens when only one player is registered in a draw and all the draws are basically undermanned like this?

They cancel usually.

If there were more players but still not enough to fill out regular draws often they will combine levels- like putting all the 4.5 into open and making the 3.0 players play in 3.5.

Will I get a refund? And no, there aren't enough. Even if they put me in the Open draw, that's 2 players o.O

I did this twice. I got my money back, but you have to call to the tournament director since tennislink won't refund you unless you withdraw from the tourney before the entry closing date.

See if they will give you a trophy.

They would probably be happy to give away a cheap plastic trophy if it means the tournament-director can keep his entry-fee money.

Why such a poor turnout - are you guys still mourning the loss of LeBron?

I ran tournaments back in the day when I was teaching and if I were the tournament director, what I would do is call up the open singles player, 4.5 singles player, and 4.5 doubles players and ask if you would all like to play singles. If no one agrees then I would cancel the event and refund.

Yeah, they just canceled all the underdrawn brackets. And I wouldn't give up the $47 entry fee for a trophy that I didn't earn lol.
