Default Are pre-workout drinks from GNC legal for USTA?

GNC sells a "pre-workout" endurance drink that is suppose to pump you up and help you focus. I assume it's all natural ingrediants. Does anyone know if Nano Vapor from GNC is USTA legal?

http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3872804

How about Jack 3d from GNC

http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3946360

Or what about Amplified Endurance Booster?

http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp...99334&kwCatId=

Thanks.

I don't understand this concept of "USTA legal"......I mean, nobody is drug-testing you before your local league match.

Mix some of that endurance supplement with some hard-liquor, and you've got the magic potion for success

.

You could take the most illegal baseball/football/cycling steriod before every USTA match and I promise you that no one would give a sh*t.

If it's over-the-counter, it's just taurine and caffeine anyway. Same as a Monster or Red Bull. It'll wear off before you finish the second set.

You could inject yourself with horse steroids on changeovers and no one would care, but if your cell phone goes off during a match you immediately lose the game (and if it goes off again its the set).

Doesn't caffeine dehydrate the body? Also, if it's a tight match, I'm not sure I'd want all that caffeine making me even more nervous!

The officials in our section have been watching closely at what the stronger players are drinking and if they suspect anything illegal they've been calling foot faults on these guys as a backdoor to penalizing for illegitimate nutritional advantages.

True. but the latest reasearch showed that little bit of Caffeine actually improves performance and doesn't hurt your hydration status as long as you drink thruout the match. so latest thinking is that little bit of caffeine is good for the sports.

I have heard some guys take Via**a to increase blood flow before the match. Hope they don't play mixed doubles Then might need 2 hats.

Then they also don't need to bring any racquets?

I call "forum fib" on this one. Come on. I hope tongue is firmly in cheek.

I haven't seen it happen much in tournament play, but in league play, at least around here, it is strictly enforced.
