Hmm...if it was Federer's racquet and BreakPoint had gotten ahold of it, I can think of a few things he would want to do with it that didn't involve tennis.

Great thread, thanks. This confirms what Courier said back when Roddick was just hitting the big time, that Roddick's racquet felt very light compared to the racquets that Courier was used to playing with. The usual local park hero ******** on this board claimed Courier was paid off by Babolat to say this, since they need a 14 oz frame to handle the heat they face, Andy's must be a similar weight.

Bob, the left looks like silicone, any idea what the stuff on the right is?
I see the 330 # as well on the cap. Isn't he up to almost 500 PD's used currently?

These are great pics. I have been lookin at making my PDRGT+ look like Andy's paintjob. So far I have applied tournagrip(blue, XL) and PHT, but I have some RPM blast which I may use soon, because I don't like the PHT feel anymore.
Thanks for the references and additional info. |

I use Tourna in the summer and Wilson Pro in the fall. For the humidity, Tourna is the only thing that lets you really grip the stick but it's shock absorbing is not the greatest. I'll retry the Bab Skin Feel grip this fall when I go back to the thicker OG.

Tennis channel is showing classic USO matches this week and feature the 2001 A rod v Hewitt matchup. I got a nice closeup of the Arod stick and noticed that he had no lead at 3/9 but looked to have around 4g or so right at the top of the hoop.
This week, I tried the Arod lead placement at 3/9 instead of my usual 12 oclock and didn't really care for it. To each his own but I feel like the racquet swings smoother with the lead at the extreme ends.

When I used leather on my old apdc it actually ended up hurting my hand. I have come to love the thicker synthetic grip on the apds'. It may make the grip a little bigger, but it feels really nice on my hand.
