Yes, M SPeed Pro 98 UL. I dunno, so far I prefer the Mag Tour. Only played it once mind, so that may change.
After my first (very good) session with the Speed, things have not been so good. Cannot get comfy. Struggling to find the right setup. I wonder if the Prince Syn Gut Orig at approx 55lbs has anything to do with it? |

I see, liked the M Tour 100 (UL) as well. However the M Pro No One 98 (SL) is something totally different.

I decided to try c 11oz racquets cos I felt a little clumsy with my 11.8oz Ki 5. If it doesn't work out with the ULs I will certainly try the SL. Fischer and Gamma are what I wanna check out because they are hyped as excellent rackets.

Another thing, I know the specs are identical but the Mag Tour UL feels more substantial than the M Speed 98 UL.

I think this is all due to the thin bridge the M Pro has. That is too thin for tweener-weight I think.

Member too, just obtained 3 M PRO No1 98 (320 gram unstrung), all in good condition Gripsize is L3, Fischer's Sorb Tack feels good too but I will still put some thin white overgrip on it. As this stick is heavy, flexible and has 16 main strings I will use some thick poly string in it at about 25 kg I think. They will be threatened as expensive pieces of art, therefore they will get some protection tape on it (always good to do that). However as this stick is 2.5 cm width on top I will need to find a tape with a width of about 4-5 cm. Hard to find I am afraid. Right now I got protection tape of 3 cm width which will turn out to be a little to small. Time to get some grommets, any suggestions where I can find them? Can I use Pacific grommets (as their X Force is just a reincarnation)? I am so happy with them. They were hard to find, but the search was worth it. Up to the next hunt: the M-Comp 95 (330 gram unstrung). Not that I intend to play serious matches with it, but it must be great to play with it against significantly weaker players. My NTRP rating is 3.5 btw. Last edited by Outlined : 09-19-2010 at 10:04 AM. |

Just do a search on 'Fischer M-Comp' in the For Sale section and you might possibly come up w/ 5 of them for sale from someone resembling...me...

2 scratched and battered vacuum pros! They don't make me serve like Michael Stich but, he was a bit of dunce anyway!
I couldn't part with them...ever! |

Yesterday I played a match (lost) with my new M Pro No1. Feels great. However in the past 2 years I got used to tweeners so I am not sure whether I will make the full transition. Don't regret my purchase, still great to have them. Maybe, one day, when I will be a 5.0 I can (re)start platying with them.
So my (new) question: Which Fischer frame comes closest to the Radical Liquidmetal (mid-plus) ? Last edited by Outlined : 09-07-2010 at 04:45 PM. |

Whoa! 30 pages?
These must be some pretty good rackets. How about a comfortable model, large sweetspot, 100" to 108" headsize? Oh, under $130. I'm checking TW right now... |

I have been playing with the M SPeed Pro 98 for several years but have not paid attention to new rackets. Now I need some new rackets but cannot find any Fischer rackets for sale.
Are there any retailers in the USA still sell Fisher rackets? Thanks, |
