I totally agree. Lotto has some of the best designs year after year. I'm bummed I have a hard time finding the clothing. The Raptor shoes are my favorites and the clothing is top of the line quality. I'm into the fresh designs and am not conservative when I pick my clothes. I'm a designer and appreciate innovative designs. I have Sergio Tacchini, Nike, Lotto, and Yonex stuff and I have to say Nike is the bottom of the barrel when compared to these brands for quality. Liking certain designs is completely individual, but Italian fashion is a cut WAY above the rest IMO.

Jesus, who actually wears tennis gear to play tennis?
I mean, i'll wear crew socks and some legit tennis shoes, because shorter socks tend to get pulled underneath my heels, but you won't catch me casually hitting with some tricked out 90$ tennis shirt. I'll be wearing a tshirt from some party i went to two years ago and basic athletic shorts.

by far, by very far the best looking apparel is Lotto (apparel and shoes), then we have Diadora, then some of the Le Cocq Sportif (although they have lost some of their edge in the past five years)...Go to Lotto.com to see all the apparel they produce (it goes way beyond tennis) and I have always bought their shoes from TW and they are by far the most flexible/comfortable, the most durable and the most elegant looking stuff. Who would want being caught in the standard/common and incredibly cluncky/boring Nike, K-Swiss, Adidas, etc...besides they are usually less resistant according to those with whom I play, especially the shoes...Besides also...if you wait long enough, the Lotto stuff goes on sale about one year after it comes out and you can get wonderful (and good looking) shoes for $60 to $80...I also strongly recommend the shorts which are often on sale too...If TW doesn't have it go to http://www.tennispro.fr and you can also buy from them easily at great discount prices and have them shipped at the slow . Diadora is also very high quality and great design. There is also a new brand of shoes that some players wear: they come from China and several Latin American players wear them...saw them on TV and found them on the net but can't remeber their name...The most elegant shoes ever were the French TBS, all white and molded sole-incredibly flexible- in the 80's and the Superga worn by divine player Adriano Panatta...Of course one should also mention Ellesse but they were/are nowhere near Lotto or Diadora in my book...One should also look for training suits in any of these brands: sometimes there is very elegant stuff discounted...I got 2xGuga's training suits (top & pants) from the Diadora website for $55 one year after they were presented...and I still use them to this day after many years of use: the material is perfect, they haven't lost any colour or shape after multiple years of wearing, washings in the confines of cold Michigan...
I have 4 pairs of Lotto shoes that I bought 3 years ago, each for about $55 to $60...they were the 'blue & yellow version' and one pair is the black version that D. Ferrer wore for one year...they are still in excellent shape, they are still 'looking good' and they will all last at least anothe year. I play 3 to 4 times a week, for about 40 weeks a year. I will agree that the new version of that shoe in orange and black is not particularly appetizing (the orange part that is), but the blue and yellow or the black versions were classy and good looking...

Is that the hardcourt version? I've been trying to locate the Raptor Ultra SPEED version which has the hardcourt outsoles but can't find it anywhere. TWEurope has confirmed that they won't be carrying the hard court version

It looks terrible on Sod and Ferrer and I believe firmly that it's a contributing factor to their lack of GS titles.

It looks splendid on Francesca though.

haha.. good case.. well done.. its Italian.

Anyway.. I bought some of the LOTTO Raptor Ultra'.. I have worn Barricades and a lot of the Nike shoes in the past and to be honest for my feet the Lotto' are the best shoes I have owned. They are not as durable as the Barricades but thats the only downside.

I'm not a fan of lotto either but I think it's the cut of the shorts in particular that is causing the problem.

If you look back at the pic of Stakhovsky on the first page of this thread, his shorts are longer and better cut.

It’s not immediately obvious to the untrained eye but I see what you mean.

I am not sure about that, but the outsole looks similar to Barricade's.

CORRECTION -
Nike is not in Seattle.
Nike is in Beaverton , Oregon. If you don't know where Beaverton is, check out the map. The closes big city is Portland.
