Default Where is good junior tennis in Europe?

My dad may need to move our family to Europe for his job. He can pick where he lives and is willing to go somewhere that is good for tennis. Where should we go?

He will need to be in the northern part mostly.

Can he choose any city or capitals only? I think Belgium has a few good tennis schools, and many popular tennis clubs. Germany has some tennis academies in Munich and Stuttgart I think. London has Sutton Tennis, I read good things about it. If you are looking just for fun just about anywhere you'll find something, but larger cities will have more tennis options. Good luck with the move.

France or ideally Spain - especially around Murcia, Valencia or Barcelona, if you want serious tennis.

Sutton academy isn't all that. There are really no private academies in the UK doing anything worth shouting about in terms of producing players - sadly. If you're just after some decent club tennis then most countries of northern Europe have an abundance of clubs to play at.

I am looking for good training for a junior. I am top 50 nationally in 14s and would like to continue to get better. My Dad says we might can live in Spain but Luxembourg would be best. He will travel mainly north of Luxembourg.

Do you want to leave the country? You don't have to leave the country to get good training.

His father got a job in Northern Europe, it would be best to stay with family at that age in my opinion

In Amsterdam, there's Laurense Tennis, an academy affiliated with French Open finalist Martin Verkerk, appears to be comprehensive training with indoor, clay, hard, right in the heart of the city. http://laurense.com If you need to be based in northern Europe, Amsterdam is ideal, easy travel to London, Paris, Brussels, Copenhagen, Germany...

Dude, move to Paris. Join a club, forget about tennis academies...they have tons of tournaments and many people to practice with. Then u can pay a coach part time for coaching....its much cheaper then in Lux, Amsterdam, Brussels.
And u have tons of money tournaments very close to your house.

Stockholm is fine, though you'll be indoors most of the year. Everyone speaks English and Sweden is a wonderful country. A lot of the tennis in Scandinavia and Germany is through private clubs which you can join and then will become your "home club." Also, check out Stockholm Sports Academy which offers training in tennis and other sports. But you will also definitely need to check out Dave Bandelin's Euro Elite program which caters to Scandinavian juniors and runs weekend and week-long high performance camps in southern Sweden. He also organizes travel to certain junior and ITF events around Europe. Andreas Vinciguerra is affiliated with the program. Check out euroelite.info for info on that program. Good luck. Europe will be wonderful for your tennis.
