Agree with the above. It's free and great and that thread had thousands of posts. Better uses of their time abound I'm sure.

5. (....) For sale posts and messages are permitted in the For Sale forum only. Posts in other forums will be removed and may result in the user being banned. No for sale posting or commercial links in signatures or user profiles.

I think we need to remember that this is an excellent forum that is provided gratis and we shouldn't expect the world from those that have the laborious task of keeping the site moderated.

I completly understand and agree that we should be grateful for this forum as we can freely post and advertise under the fs sale section on so forth.

What my PERSONAL point of view is, rather than deleting the whole thing, as spence stated "we do not have the time to continually delete posts clearly breaking policy"
I am not asking them to do that, it would be better for there to be a thread pinned so everyone can see that this section is not allowed for selling or trading etc most importantly the new members and for them to only post in the fs section.
What you got to understand is new users may just come in here and post there first reply and say looking to sell so and so.. He might not of even been to the fs section.

I think it would be easier to keep a thread pinned at the top of the odds and ends section reason being its a reminder for everyone, not just those reading this page at this moment in time. Now that I know we can not post to sell items here, several pages in there would be another person who is new to it who will post to sell something, obviously we would tell him its not allowed but TW Staff will have to go and delete the post...

Hmm.... understood but c'mon Spence, a little snidey perhaps?

Ah well, we'll make this as great as the old one, minus the buying/selling.

Subscribing as we speak....

Maybe I should make it my sig so new users to UKTRTBs will not even attempt it.

Ah well, goodbye old thread, hello new thread.

Pity the old thread got trashed, but rules are rules I suppose.

We definately need a UK / EU only classified section though. That would be great help.

Are those balls really flat ? Just looking at the way the ball lands and reacts off the court and doesn't look like much is on it that all.

Not a critisism, only an observation

Should get some videos up in the next few days of me hitting and stuff maybe even post one of me stringing !

Technically I prefer your backhand mate, nice swing and your hit it smooth. Your forehand is a loopy swing. Looks like you take the ball a bit late and fall back sometimes but looks like you hit a heavy ball? I am going to record me next week. Good to get some feedback. Nice one bro

Good observation about the balls :P, yeah I just took some balls from the clubhouse that I think the coach uses for the younger kids and some were decent, some were flat and some as you said were really flat. At least it meant my footwork had to be good so I could react to the 'no bouncers' , I will try and get some more footage up within the next few days of me hitting with one of my mates (with decent balls (no not my mate ;P)).

Cheers for your feedback baseline_monster, yeah most people who have seen the video and my coach says my backhand is my strongest shot (and I feel the same way). Going to try and work on shortening the forehand a bit (easier to time?) and getting my body weight foreward (more aggressive). About the heavy ball, not sure if its because the balls were heavy (flat) , but I think I do hit a relatively heavy ball, particularly on the backhand.

Yeah it's definately worth recording yourself and getting some opinions. I'de have never noticed how big my forehand swing actually is. Looking forward to seeing your video.
