I'm looking at upgrading my Gamma 6004, and I was thinking about the new Gamma 6900 or the Alpha Odssey. What are the thoughts about these two machines. The real question is the electronic's, if that fails you have a rock. The last thing any of us stringers want is to have to send the machine in for repairs. The Gamma is about 1800, and the Alpha is about 2200, the Gamma comes with more, so it comes down to quality, with the price difference.

They both look pretty solid to me but I don't really know the differences. I'm sure someone here could point you in the right direction.

You will have the crank mechanism from the 6004 as a back-up IF you ever have to have the Wise sent in for repair AND you won't have to hassle with selling and shipping your 6004. I have the exact set-up (6004 + Wise) I am describing to you.... it works flawlessly http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Wise...SE-WISETH.html http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/Wise...-WISETHGA.html Last edited by rich s : 10-31-2010 at 01:07 PM. I had put that post up a while back, and did not hear back, so I went ahead and bought a Gamma 5800 rather then the others I was looking at. It just came today, and the owner's manual good be a lot better. I have one question for those of you that have this machine. Above the tool drawers you have two plastic arms that stick out and look like they should swing back, but don't. I'm not sure they do anything, but get in the way? Is there anything else I need to be aware of using this machine?
