Someone from Babolat told me otherwise. He said he is using RPM.

That's because he's from babolat and it's the string they're promoting.

Guys from Babolat will also tell you that he plays the latest version of the AeroPro with all the GT and Cortex Stuff and just some lead put on

This collection is insane. Interesting to note the difference in shoe weight for Fed vs retail version. Also fairly obvious that Nadal does not use Cortex. Also, what gives with him using 4 1/4? I guess it's easier to produce a lot of torque with a small grip.
Thanks again for posting this amazing collection, Fabfed!

Man how do they shrinkwrap the overgrip tape on Fed's rackets like that? on Nadal's it's obvious somebody just tapes it along the top but on Federers the tape is shrunk to perfectly fit.

Guy from Babolat Never told me that sort ofcrap. We talked about Babolat frames and strings, told me he used duralast for years even if they wanted him to change, and the old version of the APD. They asked him to come to Lyon, to try the RPM and said he liked it. End of the story, I'm not there to prove anything.

Probably not. That's been said but there's not a huge reason to think that he's NOT using RPM blast. He may very well have made the switch. Some people commented at the beginning of last season that he wasn't putting as much spin on the ball but seemed to be getting more pace.. that's more a property of RPM than it is of duralast.. and why would babolat go through all that trouble of recoloring and smoking (to get rid of the transparent properties of Duralast) just to market the string RPM Blast? How can you be so sure theyd even be able to without drastically changing the string properties?

It was another guy then

"Pro Hurricane Nadal" is what was printed on his reels when he was promoting Hurricane but it was really Duralast. "Pro Hurricane Nadal" was also on his strings when he started to use a black string. Why is that, if he uses standard RPM Blast?

Uh, because Nadal doesn't use Standard RPM Blast? it only comesi n 16 and 17 gauge, and he'd be using 15L, so therefore they'd label it as specifically made for him

Ah ok, i see.

I still don't get why they don't print "RPM Blast Nadal" or something on it then.
But you may be right though.

But you think that his change of playing style (less spin, more power) is based on new strings? They advertise Blast for increasing spin...

You already have a thread on this topic. The shoes he wore are his custom Vapor 6 shoes which, over the past 2 seasons have been painted to look somewhat like whatever model and colourway Vapor (the Lunarlite Vapor Tour and the Vapor 8 ) they were marketing as the shoe he was wearing.

You can buy Vapor 6s on the big auction side quite often - they're not always cheap. If you can get a black pair you're in luck, otherwise you'll need to find some shoe pain to mimic those shoes as close as is practical.
