Stanford Men's tennis starts its quest for NCAA championships today by taking on Sac state. This could be over quick..... Webcam coverage available.

Look here, #1 singles that is coming up has Klahn vs Harbachuck who is ranked actually higher than Klahn at the moment. and this guy beat Clayton in 3 sets just few month ago. so this match should be very competitive clean match.

Home court advantage. That one fan and the webcam was a huge advantage. Klahn has no chance against Harbatsi in Sac-town or a neutral court.

STANFORD, Calif.- No. 8 Stanford coasted past Sacramento State 7-0 in its season opener on Tuesday afternoon at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

The Cardinal captured the doubles point, sweeping all three spots of the lineup.

Singles play was also dominated by Stanford (1-0, 0-0 Pac-10), which won all six matches in straight sets.

Bradley Klahn (6-3, 6-0 at the No. 1 spot), Alex Clayton (6-1, 6-2 at the No. 3 spot), Greg Hirshman (6-2, 6-1 at the No. 5 spot) and Matt Kandath (6-3, 6-0 at the No. 6 spot) all surrendered three games or less in their victories.

Sacramento State fell to 0-2, having lost 6-1 at USC in its season opener three days ago.

Yes, strong win for Stanford yesterday! I was impressed at how Klahn dealt with Hiabatsiuk. Also Clayton and Lin made a strong impression.

BTW FEdace, we have another thread started last week where we discuss everything related to West Coast and Shouthwest college tennis. You're all welcome to join the "Pacific 10 Alliance" thread and talk about the new tennis season in the west!
