Stanford should breeze thru their matches today. They should be well rested for the weekend match.

The big question for Stanford now: Can Klahn and Thacher win their singles matches fast enough to avoid the embarrassment of giving up 3 points at positions 3, 5, and 6? If they hurry up an win, the unfinished matches can be abandoned before Clayton, Lin, and Kandath lose.

Whit, you got to go back to your books and teach these guys how to play and cut down unforced errors and stop the weak net rushing! |

The way they are playing now, Layton should move to 4, Lin to 6 and whoever at 3...

Hirshman? Move him to 3? That's a big jump for him, but he's been solid at 5.

This Aumuelle guy is a pretty good player. He has a bog 1st serve, and a high % of serves in.

Is the scoreboard stuck, or is it a rain delay? Frozen scores on my screen, even after a forced refresh.

Scoreboard stuck. I think it's 4-1 Stanford, but I could be wrong.

I think it's 5-1 actually if Stanford won the doubles.

Just got back from Stanford and all I have to say is at this point there is no way Stanford is a top 10 team. If they play a good team Klahn and Thacher have to win everytime to keep them in the match. Clayton, Lin and Kandath cannot continue their sloppy play and expect to compete with the elite teams in the country. I would say at this point they are a top 20 team. After the Stanford match I walked across the street to finish up the Santa Clara match. Vanderbilt eeked out a 4-3 match. I will say this, if Vanderbilt is #38 in the country then Santa Clara should be ranked higher. Santa Clara plays very hard. I am looking forward to catch up on how Cal did. Have a great weekend everyone.
