What is the deal with Jelena's racquets? She started with a Yonex RDX 500 and then I saw pictures of her using the LM Prestige and now I see pictures of her at Wimbledon with the old Prestige. Why is she switching so much?

The deal with Jelena and her racquets is pretty simple: she signed with Yonex to use a racquet she wasn't happy with for the money. She is quite content with the Prestige line (pays for them out of pocket), which is why Yonex made up some 18/20 90si RDX 500's, but they don't seem to do the trick.

So, when she is using the Yonex... she is really using a paintjob?

No, its an actual RDX 500, just a custom drilled pattern. However, she and her coach did inquire about blacking out her LM Prestige 600's at the Nasdaq.
