Default switching from barricade 5 to ballistec 3.3 - advice on sizing and suitability

I currently wear barricade 5. The only drawback to this shoe is the heaviness felt when moving around the court. Given some of the threads I have read on its successor the barricade 6, I am staying well clear of them and intend to buy the ballistec 3.3.

I have heard great things about the shoe, in particular it's quite wide and has better ankle support than the bal 2.3 (given I have flat feet this is crucial)

I have two questions:

With the barricades 5 I currently wear size 12(US) how would that translate to the 3.3s?

Given I am used to the barricade 5 would the 3.3 be an easy transition? I'm particularly worried about ankle support
