I would like some advice on the ballistic 3.3.
I am currently contemplating switching over to Nike from Adidas. I have been loyal to the barricades for the last 4 years. The barricade 5 is a great shoe but on the whole have been very happy with them but they are a little heavy for moving around well. As I have flat feet and need good ankle support everyone I have spoken to has firmly advised against the baricade 6 (too narrow, long fit in period and many people complain of pain etc.. seems like too much of a risk for me) and instead to try the new ballistic 3.3. I'm going to be moving to a club that has multiple surfaces (clay, hard court, synthetic grass, carpet) but I will mainly be playing on clay during the summer season. Looking at all the threads on this subject it seems a wise choice to go for the ballistic 3.3. I currently wear size 12 (US), 46.5 (EUR) on the barricade 5. What size would I realistically need on the Nike ballistic 3.3? Thanks |

not sure Nike 3.3 would be the best for ankles, i switched to nike 2.3 about 3 months ago and twisted my ankle a couple weeks ago
i like the shoes very much and they are awesome for pushing urself side to side with your toes but the shoe is kind of has a stiff edge on the outer sides so suddenly changing direction might be dangerous i could be wrong, but thats from my short experience with Nikes |

Same thing as the poster above. I'm a 13 in Adidas and 12.5 in 3.3. Vapor sizing was a little different. I'm not sure about the new Vapors, as I haven't tried them.

Just came back from the shop where I tried all 3 (Vapours, Ballistecs and Barricades)...
Vapours ran true to my size (11 US), Ballistecs I had to run a size up (12 US), and the Barricades felt very cramped around the toe area when I tried them in the 11 US. They didn't have a size higher, so I couldn't try them out. I was also wearing very thin ankle high socks. This was my first time seeing the Nike's in person. Had a fitting session so I know how to order from TW pretty soon. Also was a bit of a noob and took a pic: ![]() ![]() |
