Default 2hbh grip

Lately I've been trying out an eastern / western combo instead of the traditional continental / semi-westers. Anyone else use this?

Continental dominant hand / continental eastern mix non-dominant hand.
Works for me

I hope you're referring to eastern backhand there, amigo.

Generally, I don't think there's a specific setup that anyone ought to use for a two-hander. If you're avoiding strain and both arms/hands are working together without fighting each other, you're probably doing something right.

Even if the "feel" of this recent switch is odd for you with your hands placed in a different way, pay attention to the overall feel of the stroke. It may seem a little awkward until you adjust to it, but you don't want to literally feel extra soreness or fatigue in your wrists or forearms.

Yes, eastern backhand grip. Everything is just shifted over one bevel. It feels fine to hit. The contact point is shifted a little further in front and you get a little more spin instead of ball speed. I was just wondering if anyone else around here or maby a couple pros use this more extreme grip.

Left hand: SW
Right hand: BH Eastern

I'm right handed

(Which one's the dominant hand in this case, btw? I forget)

For most it's the left hand, for me it's about 85% left / 15% right (I'm right handed also)
