Nice kit there Max.

Yesterday i picked up a Wilson T 3000 and a Bancroft BJK signature woodie. Both with covers for $4. Except for the grip, the Bancroft is mint.

Recently I found a Fox "Super Fox" (with the elongated head) in nearly perfect condition- found it on the coast where prices are higher- $15.00. More recently, I found a Snauwaert "Dyno" at a local thrift shop for $2.95- a very solid racket.

I would try to pick up this Dunlop Select Pro Revelation ISIS (w/ nice looking original cover) if only the 4 1/2 grip size weren't too big for me -- I look for frames that I can play. Perhaps one of you would like it.

I visited 5 thrift stores the other day and found nothing worthwhile. Just some scraggly cheapo's. So sad.

Tennis is big in the Southwest, obviously...Tucson, Phoenix and Palm Springs CA. always have something to buy cheap.
The T2000,T3000s with covers- I sell them in sets/ by the batches-

I pick up a lot of "famous" player wood frames in perfect (almost untouched condition)- Pancho, Stan Smith or Chrissies, I like to hold on to the very best of the "photo/neck" rackets-esp. of lesser known players.

Best find- Donnay BORG racket, cover in mint condition and a matching (signed) autobiography a couple days apart.

Found a 98% Winchester racquet (as good as the gun)for $8. Could not believe how much it was worth when I looked it up.

It will be my little boys some day. Now it just sits in the closet.

The club where I grew up carried Garcia. I had the Cragin 240 and then I got a pair of Garcia Graphites (open throated, standard sized wood, black paint, some orange stripes and a graphite inlay).

When I switched back to a Maxply, I gave it to a friend whose last name was...Garcia. Then years later, I traded a bag for a Cragin 240 in a 4 and 5/8 medium (my size) with a guy who got it for $5 at a thrift/benefit store like a Goodwill or something.

Time has not allowed me to go shopping here, but you let go of the T2K's and T3K's by the droves? Maybe we should "talk", would prefer to have a couple of back ups instead of the one I have now (sentimental reasons).

just picked up three frames at PIAS...

Head Graphite Edge in excellent condition: $7.99

Wilson Sting Midsize (95 s.i.) in good condition: $14.99

Regent PTX-80 a wood frame with open throat in excellent condition (not warped): $2.99

very psyched! the Regent will be used when my buddies and I play 'old-school' matches with our wood 65" rackets.

It's just a matter of luck, and maybe a LOT of hunting! Usually when I head down to Goodwill, I just see cheap kid's racquets and a couple of beat-up woodies. Nothing that really interests me...
And timing is a big thing too. Right when I came into a store, I saw a guy at the register buying a HPS95. A shame that traffic prevented me from scoring that right there....

Default wilson excalibur and some others

well, here in Portugal it's very hard to find some nice deals, but there are some exceptions:

I got an add from a guy selling a 12 rackets pack for 200€ in Lisbon

The list was very impressive, and once me and my coach got to the meeting spot, there was a great extra that wasn't in the announced pack: one wilson excalibur - this one from this thread http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=217339, in mint condition, no cover included

there's one of thoise rackets being sold in an dutch auction website for € 950,00 - that could be too much, but i'm sure the racket worth much more than the 200€ we paid for all the pack - here http://sport.marktplaats.nl/tennis/4...fta_ind=3&fs=1.

for 100€ (i bought that pack along with my tennis coach) i got a POG series 90 (8/10 condition), one head prestige 600 (9/10) and a mint pro staff 6.0 95(absolutely no scratches) - this is a very, very nice bargain here, in Portugal.

my coach got a prince Michael Chang, one pro staff 6.1 classic strech, both 8/10 condition, a couple of other uninteresting rackets and that excalibur - and i had to call him lucky *******, that's a life time racket deal, buying for 20 € a racket that worth at least 500 €...

My wife picked up a couple racquets for me today from the Goodwill. One is a Spaulding Pacho Gonzales Tournament Model and the other is a Head Graphite Pro. Total cost under $5 including tax. The Head has a 'time to restring' label date of June 2002.
