Cool Who's SKINS-ing out there?

Living in FL, I look for every advantage to handle the extreme summer heat. I've been wearing UA heatgear compression shorts for several years. This past Xmas was a chance to splurge on the much-hyped Skins brand A400s. I must say they lived up to the promos in relation to muscle support and "oxygen flow". I closeted my UAs and wear the Skins exclusively. My ?: will they be as cool as the UAs as the temperature now rises? Are they cool enough I should consider adding length with the half-tight? Will a compression shirt work in the heat? Appreciate any feedback!

I think I'll be skins-ing this summer. When I take off my shirt and just play in shorts, it shows off both my manly chest and my manly belly jiggle. . . going skin-sy means I'll work harder to lose the jiggle.

Another Skins fan here...I have no problem with the half-tights in the heat...I think the compression shirt is fine in the heat if worn as the only layer IMO...but that look only works in practice...

I've thought of turning up to a tournament wearing a Skins top, and if I get any blowback about tennis attire, citing Srichapan and Coria. Problem is most peple who organise tennis tourneys think it's still 1983, and wouldn't know Srichapan from a bedpan, so I've steered clear....

With the prevalent heat in summer, most of my court time is practice...may add a sleeveless in white...black is scaring me. I have a 2XU brand sleeveless for winter layering. Have you tried their stuff or cw-x? I found their brands in bicycling sites for lower $$.

I have a few pairs of the 2XU half-tights. In my opinion, 2XU is similar to Skins; I just find the Skins a bit more comfortable due to their elastic waistband rather than 2XU's drawcord; maybe that's just personal preference.

I have a couple of pairs of the CW-X Pro Short, and they are absolutely fantastic; it's like having your hamstrings and glutes massaged while you play. Having said that, the material is thicker than Skins / 2XU, which may be an issue in the summer heat. But they're a great piece of kit; if you can get them at a good price, I highly recommend them.

Yeah, I wore the Ventilator full tight from cw-x on cold, early AM bike rides and they were great! It's too warm already here in FL to continue with them but I'm considering the stirrup calf sleeves for the really long rides and subsequent recovery. Skins has a Tri thigh tight w/thin chamois that looks interesting too.

Just picked up a couple of the SKINS compression vests (one white, one black) for under $10 each at the Burlington Brands store in Charleston, SC. They are awesome.

That's awesome price. Your term "vest" means a sleeveless pullover shirt, right? My source for good prices only has those and the shorts in black, which is a bummer in FL summer. OMG I didn't mean the rhyme.

The black one is just like this one... The white one is the same other than having a slight "v neck"... which I actually like better.

Yeah been doing the Skins thing for three years now. Wouldn't even consider a different brand. I think they can get a little hot in the summer. So in the heat I only wear the shorts and don't wear the top under my tennis shirt.
