Ok , while traveling i guess my bag got wet. long story short, two of my playdry shirts and a short incurred what i believe to be mildew. after a normal wash, i found that it left black dots and just a general mess. any advice as to how i can get rid of this and save my precious clothes?!

If the mildew has eaten its way into the fiber, the clothes are 'toast.' If you can brush the spots off, then what you see are surface remnants. If that's the case, just wash gently with oxy-clean repeatedly. I suspect, though, that your clothes are no longer wearable.
