OP, that Maxply is legendary. The other ones are cool, too, but man, hit with that Maxply for sure. |

Sitting in storage and warehouse - told me the lot had close to 400 sticks in it. Oddest ones are the Jan Kodes Snauwaerts with extra large lettering to better show up on TV. I had to have the Borg Pro - has the beefed up head

Wow! That would've been a major thrill to be the first one to walk into that cache!

AA, I recently scored a 'Horizon Mid'; graphite reinforced, open throat mid that appears very flexy. Black with 'Donnay' blue graphics, double handed black grip. I'm afraid the head is quite soft. Looks like it was used once and put in storage. Interesting stick. Donnay is a bit off my radar...my only other one is a 'Graphite Plus 25' mid(no wood, of course, 'all' graphite).

Some very nice collections there
I think all Donnays are beautiful rackets. I have a Donnay Allwood that I have owned since I was 12 when they still sold them in shops and I'm loathe to use it anymore. I kept it in such good condition that now its just a wall decoration. Ive managed to pick up a few nice rackets recently; A nice Adidas woody (again, gorgeous rackets) but it has a couple of mm warpage so not sure how it would play. For playing I've just re-gripped a Maxply For Tournament Graphite. What a sweet beast it is. Hits the ball superbly and is surprising light to swing. |

I love to hit with the Borg Pro, Vilas and the Maxply Fort, but my favorite so far is the Jack Kramer Autographs. The unstrung frames are a whole new feel if you're used to ones that have gone soft.
I was scared to use the Maxply Fort after my dad said he used to snap those in the throat pretty quick... But then again, he also used to have the graphite F-200s breaking on him after a couple of weeks. String them low and they should last a long time. |

Hi =) I got some new racquets but they are not wood, I didnīt want to start another thread so Iīll post them here.
All are in mint condition, the max 200g was $20 dlls , my coach saw it and bought it for me. The only "defect" is the metal on the cover, itīs rusted. Another is a Head Arthur Ashe Competition, I saw it on the action site and bought it for sentimental reasons, it was my first racquet , I got it on Christmas and I still remember the smell of new. The Prince Classic II was included with the Head. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I love the feeling of this racquets, I did hit with the arthur ashe and
had a deja vu. When I was a kid I wanted the Max 200 G but was to expensive for me. I play a little today with it and I love the feel, normally a canīt play without a dampener but I liked the sound this one made, also the All wood has a very nice sound ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I think the only one that I really would want to get is the Borg Pro,
I hope Iīll get lucky and find a nice one. The other day I saw a Yamaha in very good condition but I was able to stop myself Power Bridge 8 315 ) and shoes, maybe in another time. ![]() ![]() |

The Flex Pro has a slot on the throat , I guess it was designed to make it
more flexy, I tested it today and I like it a lot, I always use a dampener, but for some reason I like the sound this rackets make. ![]() ![]() and the Donnay Bunch ![]() Last edited by Migelowsky : 04-10-2012 at 01:52 PM. Reason: typos |

Mick,
How does the Wilson Chris Evert Autograph play compared to a Jack Kramer Auto? I notice the wood from the base of the handle comes further up the shaft. Is it stiffer? I've read it's lighter (I'm guessing the "lights" are lighter than your average JK light). Any insight? thanks, Michael

The cool about using the Chris Evert racquet after you have beaten your opponent, you could brag (in a friendly way) that it's not just a wood racquet but also women's wood racquet -- sounds like even more of a handicap but in reality not so at all |
