Okay, Spurs have finally made a signing ("stop the press!" ), and although Coulibaly is meant to be the next Dogba, er, that won't be for a little while as the kid is just 16, I believe. And aside from a lot of rumours re Ade you-know- who who used to play for that lot (hmmmm), we've done very little thus far transfer-wise this summer to suggest we can mount a top 4 finish, aside from the notable capture of someone of proven quality (albeit somewhat aged) in our most vulnerable position last year - that of goalkeeper.

How are we all feeling re our sides?

I keep expecting to hear of earth-shattering new signings arriving at Spurs, but it is all incredibly under-whelming ATM.

God Crocky is awful with injuries, on for 5 minutes and the same one flares up yet again in an important game when he also had the chance to become Paraguay's all time top scorer. Shame for him as when he's fit he's a good target man.

****ing Paraguay, outplayed yet again and are through to the final. Terrible for Venezuela hit the post 4 times.

Two pre-season games down, and Chelsea still haven't got a player on the score sheet! Two own goals for 2 very unconvincing wins.

With the season starting again in a few weeks time, what are our predictions?

1. Man Utd
2. Man City
3. Liverpool
4. Arsenal
5. Chelsea
6. Tottenham
7. Sunderland
8. Everton
9. Stoke
10. Wolves

LMAO at Paraguay trolling the Copa America. Made it to the final and has yet to win a match.

A very good point

Now, the hammers might be signing Matty Taylor, I don't htink that's a bad signing for us 12 months ago let allone now in the 2nd division but i've been very happy with big Sams work so far, he seems to be looking for players who want to play for him/WHU which, frankly makes a lovely change from the players we've had the last couple of seasons.

I dunno just never seen Downing as anything more than average and although Carroll is good he's no Shearer..we'll see when the season starts.

They are well and truly shocking to watch, almost did the same thing at the World Cup where they probably should have beaten Spain if not for Crocky's wrongly disallowed goal.

Agree with your top 2, and maybe Liverpool for 3rd. Arsenal though is a whole different ball game and the pressure is really on Wenger - and from what I hear everyday here in n. London - not least from his own teams' fans. I suspect this could be a make or break season at the Emirates then. On which basis I might rank them a tad lower (with Wenger retiring/moving club/getting sacked by Christmas. ) Chelsea I find very hard to predict with the new man in charge, but unless he truly is Jose M II, yes, around 5th place. Spurs at 4th spot (Redknapp getting put in prison for fraud apart
). Anyhow, that's all from Mystic Ross, aside to also throw in, I'll really go out on a limb here fellas and say that Barca will be my Champion's League winners! .

1. United
2. Chelsea
3. City
4. Arsenal
5. Liverpool
6. Spurs

With the exception of the new money in Manchester, I think it will be business as usual.

As a Gooner, I am personally confident we will finish in the top 4. Liverpool have improved, but I'm unconvinced by a number of their big money signings, and Spurs have been static for a while. I think the legacy Chelsea squad will make one last push, backed up by a couple of new signings, and run United fairly close.

With regard to bringing in CBs, Wenger should just pay up and have time to blend them into the squad. Defensive chemistry is so important, and we haven't had any for years, and the extra few millions (if that is the stumbling block) in order to bring in players early in the preseason is worth it in this position.

Either way, it's shaping up to be one of the more exciting Premier League seasons, with a lot of clubs posturing.

Wenger still doesn't seem bothered about the keeper situation, he missed out on Given.

Almunia should be leaving, the young Pole is inexperienced, Fabianski is a ticking time bomb.

They could and should have picked up Brad Fridel on the cheap.

No chance in hell Liverpool wins it all or finishes top 3 this season.

1. United
2. City
3. Chelsea
4. Arsenal
5.Liverpool
6. Spurs
7. Sunderland
8. Fulham
9. Bolton

I have a feeling Chelsea are going to suck this season, too many glaring holes in the side and Roman has been reluctant to splash the cash out on the players that Chelsea will need to make a big push on all fronts this term. There's still 5-6 new players needed, maybe 1 or 2 will come. Maybe.

As for Arsenal, it all depends on the impending sale of Fab and Nasri. I heard they've got Juan Mata lined up, which would be sweet.

Liverpool will have a good strikeforce this year but that's it.

City will make it far. Really far, but won't win it. United will.

Sunderland is going to surprise a lot of folks this year. They were pretty good last year and now that Gyan is settled I feel that him alongside some of their new signings will get them in great shape this time around. Maybe make a push for Europe.

I'm not sold on Spurs, but if Modric stays around then something could happen. Anyone see VdV's wicked free kick goal vs. Orlando Pirates from last week?

Also, I just put down a few bucks on Real Madrid taking the Champions League at 9/2 odds. Smart bet, I think. Madrid will take it this year.

Yeah, i'm not expecting much from Chelsea. I'm looking forward to the season and have got Stoke tickets for the first game, but anywhere in the Champions League places will be a pretty decent finish. The team is just all over the place, even if they did spend £50 Million on the creative midfielder everyone says we need, we don't have any wingers for him to pass to who can make things happen, nor create space for him to do anything for a Torres or Drogba.

I also think Sunderland will do well, i'm hoping Wolves can aswell. I'm a fan of Roger Johnson, they've got Jamie O'Hara signed, Hunt and Jarvis on the wings and Fletcher + Doyle up front. That should be enough for a solid mid table finish, on paper.

Mohamed Bin Hammam gets a lifetime ban from football for corruption. Let's hope he's the first of many.

Hopefully Bin Hammam will take the decision to the CAS and they'll give him a fair trial, and in presenting the evidence to support his case, he opens up the proverbial closet of skeletons and the whole ExCo along with Blatter get thrown out and are handed lifetime bans.

Qatar should also be stripped of the 2022 WC as well. That would make my day.

Finally justice as Paraguay are demolished in the final.

Meanwhile Balotelli creates more headlines and ammunition to be aimed towards the club what a guy.
