With low tension poly, the normal 'pop' isn't there on serve and the sound on groundstrokes seems muted. Normally if I hit a sliced backhand vs a drop shot you know the difference - not yesterday.

Spin generation is phenomenal though- if I am messing around with my kids, I sometimes hit with extreme spin; drop shots/sliced backhands/forehands with the rear face of a SW/western griped forehand. Yesterday (my first hit with low tension) I was getting similar results from the rear side of an eastern forehand and the normal slice from a continental gripped backhand was really biting.

Playing a match tomorrow morning so will report more later.

thanks for the reply.. have you used the racquet with higher tensions? Is it less muted?

Has anyone else noticed the frame is muted as Orion suggests, regardless of tension?

I hit with one with full multi and also gut..the feel was butter smooth. Unfortunately, I broke the (demo, not brand new) strings in under an hour each time.

I actually tried full multi myself today and absolutely hated it (it was Prince Lightning XX Spin 16 at 55lbs). I had no freedom to swing out, and spin potential was absolutely nil-not to mention, there was no power. I'm definitely going back to full poly, which is just incredible in this frame.

Yep. I have three... 2 were 329g and one 330g stock.

Really pleased with the quality control with Prince... but they've always been decent.

On Friday I dropped one of my frames off to get strung-up with champion's choice.. 52/50... so I decided to get a third frame and take advantage of the expiring $159 deal.. it's the one in pic 1 with the plastic still on.. strung with 18g tour bite.... tasty!!

Ok.. so yours were lighter than stock... 11.5oz.. I'm assuming?

I've found the set-up.. for me.. and have taken alot of weight off of my initial set-up.

I have 6g total at 3&9.. 6g of silicone under the cap.. a tourna grip and those four leaf clover vibs.... simply wonderful set-up for me ... whppy enough.. and still haven't lost anything on my serve coming from the PresMid.

One is 10.9 stock unstrung and one is 11.0 so they are about perfect

My pair was just one gram apart -- good QC indeed.

Well, I managed a set before my opponent pulled out with an injury. The 'pop' is definitely quieter but I take back what I said earlier...it is still there, just.

At higher tensions (mine were previously strung at 58lb) it sounded 'normal'. I think the sound change is purely a factor of me stringing them at 20lbs less than before.

I demoed the BB Melbourne and the Prince 18x20. The Melbourne is a nice playing racquet but The Prince plays better for me. I have two of the 16x18 and I'll be buying two of the 18x20 soon. Looks like with the tour line Prince has come up with very good racquets.

The EXO3 Tour threads are taking over the board! Did anyone feel that the top of the hoop feels dead?

Looks like I am in! Still looking for that perfect string setup. Demo had a mushy PSGM 16g setup and it was actually so buttery smooth with unreal ball pocketing i actually liked it (don't crash me too hard as I know it's not as sexy as full poly)

Tried out B5E/Max Touch yesterday at 52/56 and did not find it near as plush/comfy as was expecting and had lost some "pop" Think i need to lower tension down or better yet--am going to go full synthetic or multi--especially since the temps are starting to cool down a little. Have been suffering with some GE issues for a while now and just don't think i'm ready for poly. I'm fine on groundies--but on the serve is what bothers the elbow/tricep. Therefore--thinking of going full NXT, Xcel or even Addiction as i have sets of all in my bag. Any suggestions? Tension?
