Losing Andersen definitely hurt, especially when you lose Corrie and Damico at the same time. Center is s good coach, he gets the job done.
Mladenov transferred to St. John's

I know that there have been Koreans doing well in 12s & 14s recently. Is there a pipeline of 19 y/o Koreans going to other universities & making an impact?

& regarding India....UT used their one (& only) scholarship last year for an Indian (from India) who was a bust. With probably 20% of all SuperChamps in TX being second generation Indian (& 40% total being second generation Asian)....like Chen.....not sure why the bevos need to go abroad.

Wouldn't it just be easier to tell the top 10 Indian & Asian SCMZ 8th graders to repeat a grade if we wanted 19 or 20 y/o freshman Asians (who are older & tougher than their 18 y/o counterparts & just as tough as any 19 y/o from India or S. Korea)?

So what is it about a "San Francisco lifestyle" that would attract a tennis athlete.

Austin Future
Ben "bicycle" Chen gets beat by Ed Corrie 6-0 6-0. This is a sad result. Corrie playing well out of school. Corrie was a weak #1 last year even at 2 he lost a lot. But he can still whip his former teammates. Olesen almost beat Zavala, which is somewhat encouraging. But Olesen should be playing 5 or 6 but because of our weak line-up he will play over his head at 3.

Texas blue chip recruit Mitchell Krueger has narrowed his choices to Oklahoma, TCU, and Texas A&M. Not good news for Texas.

After seeing his behavior on-court against Tulsa in the NCAA team tourney, I wasn't AS heartbroken. He was just too immature as far as I could tell.

His Dad played for A&M, there was no chance he was going to play for Texas anyway.

A little off topic. Why was Kellen Damico nicknamed Junior?

I agree that they really need either Shane Vinsant or Mitchell Krueger. Anyone know where they are considering???
Shane is likely going to A&M, Mitchell is being heavily romanced by OU, A&M, & TCU.

Texas does have Korinek in a year.

Slightly off topic, A&M has a very promising team...Ore, Winthrow are excellent additions.

Texas was devastated when Sock turned pro, they were seriously after him.

Yeah, A&M looks very strong, although Ore did lose to Soren Hess-Olesen at ITA regionals.

Hess-Olesen looks good for the Longhorns. Should be toward the top of the line-up

UT has some of the best looking women around. Their cheerleaders are no exception.

They have a Doubles Team in the Draw, they lost to the Small College Champions in Rd 2, after beating Tennessee in Rd 1
