I was there last month (September 2009) and the indoor courts were totally empty. The courts were also filthy - they needed to be power washed. I would not recommend the facility.

GPI is great...I have heard nothing but good things. Check out tennis resorts online for other opinions.
Another place is the Crown Plaza which is just west of downtown and affiliated with one of the two Asheville Racquet Clubs....They have a brand new indoor facility that has 4 courts and are in nice shape. http://www.ashevillecp.com/home/Recr...es/Tennis.aspx http://www.ashevilleracquetclub.com/home/ |

Can't say much about tennis in Asheville since it was sort of off my radar when I visited, but the town is funky and fun and the GPI is wonderful. Had a great weekend stay there. Take in all the common areas, at least. It is nearly sublime.
