Kei is in good company right there. If he improves a little more and remains healthy, top 15 is not too far fetch. He's already beaten Berdych, Tsonga and now Djoker. If he beats Fed tomorrow, I can see cash pouring in from his part of the world. Good show Kei !

What Djoko did this year, against quality players on different surfaces, is unprecedented.. |

Unprecedented because of SURFACE HOMOGENEIZATION+ LOW PRESSURE BALLS+ LOW TOP 10 LEVEL

And just who would that be? Nadal? The same declining shell of himself Nadal? The one who is a mental midget these days? Cvac has managed to win so much this year for multiple reasons, one of which is a weaker than weak field where even most of the top 10 is pathetic. I told you the other day that he has not been unbeatable since Rome and that players just need to keep the pressure on when they're playing him,and not quit while they're ahead. Nishikori did both of those things well today, and Cvac lost. He should have had many more losses this year considering how many times players have choked against him while up sets,breaks,etc...Nadal being the worst culprit of this especially in IW(where Nadal completely outplayed him through a set and half until his serve deserted him)and Miami. And let's not forget how Roger choked away a 2 set lead, and 2 match points on his own serve at the USO. Imo,Cvac never should have beaten Baggy yesterday, and wouldn't have if Baggy would have just kept his level up instead of folding the way he did. Last edited by Clarky21 : 11-05-2011 at 06:20 PM. |

Obviously they are no pushovers, and even though the former is slumping really hard and the latter has not been performing too well overall (also, Fed's now the #4 player, not #3), they are both are still pretty good this year...however, on the whole, the level of the top 10 this year is arguably not as high as that of the top 10 then. Djokovic is also 2-1 against Murray, the actual #3, and one of his wins is against Mr. I-crumple-in-grand-slam finals (the other is a 3-setter on clay ending in a tie-break). Also, you must account for the -entire- season. If Djokovic doesn't win a match from now until the end, clearly his season falls much, much shorter. The point of calling it the best "year" is that it's the entire year. If he completely crumbles in the end, it's a testament to his comparative lack of stamina. Fed in 2006 played and won a ridiculous number of matches. Djokovic didn't, yet he seems to be injured in his losses. Either he's finding excuses, or his body cannot hold up somehow (perhaps a mixture of both), and that's reason enough to consider Fed's 2006 greater. Even with his record right now, I doubt his season's place in history as the best of all time. Get over yourselves. A total collapse is just an extrapolation of what is essentially happening now, if he indeed has such a bad injury. I hope he gets well and he isn't hurt too badly, but as for his season...I don't think it's the best. Last edited by Z3kk : 11-05-2011 at 06:29 PM. |

Djokovic blew away Federer and Murray back to back at the AO in straight sets. He crushed Nadal 6 times on all surfaces. You need a reality check mate. Djokovic is a super talented player who has stepped up his game and is the best player walking the earth by far. You can ridicule him and disrespect his competition all you like but it's the very same competition which Federer and Nadal enjoyed dominating against for years. Don't try to discredit Djokovic for doing the same thing. As for choking, it's part of the game. It simply means you're not mentally strong enough to compete, and as everybody knows, mental strength is half the battle. |

Yeah and as many would say, a big choke from Federer as usual which allowed Nadal to lift the trophy yet again. LOL!

Yep, Kei played better today. But is he a better player than Djokovic you think based on their respective accomplishments, rafabull?

As for Roger choking? That's the story of his career. LOL! Baggy lost because he's not good enough. All this choking BS is out the door. You've never played a sport in your life it seems. |
