He's always had the talent (as much as I hate that word since it's used liberally for underachievers like Gulbis, Cilic, etc). But injuries have held him up a bit, not underachieving. Like i said, if he stays healthy I wouldn't be shocked if he's top 10 this time next year.

Post match speech - Fed was going along well, until he came to the part where he said he will be back next year(heard through translation) and then choked up completely. Possibly the thought crossed his mind that his career is towards the end? If so, it was poignant. But you never know, Fed's always been quick with the waterworks
