Big Fish. Very charming, but by no means does that excuse the shot of Danny DeVitos bare *** xp

Horrible Bosses. Stole me a few chuckles, but nothing to be all WOW about. Enjoyable, yes

Idiocracy (2006)
I must say this dystopian satire is one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time, and quite thought provoking. Don't think I'll ever look at mass entertainment the way I used to. |

Some sort of showdown between the main characters would have been good. The whole movie was building toward that and they just leave things hanging to use the cool artsy ending. Shame because I really liked he movie.

A traditional showdown may have been too cliched, but some movies try too hard not to be formulaic - and often the result is something overly ambiguous or self-indulgent.

Horrible Bosses
A very bad movie; it was more like an advertisement for the new VW car....sad to see so many good actors working on that crap...

The Great debaters. Good movie solid story and a quick basic display of how to construct an argument and hold ones ground in a debate.

Even Almodovar can make a mess now and then, and "The Skin I Live In" is a mess. Quasi-science fiction about a very controlling man, the plot is designed for shock value and veers to incoherency at times. Much style, not much substance.

Terminator salvation. Awful, such a let down on the series.

I loved Midnight in Paris, because Paris is my favourite European city and I loved all the literary characters in it, especially Hemingway...

^^ You don't ask much of a film! "Last Tango in Paris" was made in the same place but maybe you thought it used too much butter? "Midnight in Paris" was so derivative of his earlier films like "Manhattan" that he could have sued himself for intellectual property issues. When you've run out of ideas, reprise an old film and throw in some deus ex machina.
