But that again, doesn't mean everyone is as fit as Federer. Clearly Murray isn't. From the looks of it, neither is Djokovic or Nadal.

Yes it was hilarious to see Murray barely beat Federer with a really bad back, I was just rolling on the floor laughing for a week
I see we share the same sense of humour, don't you just love when one player whose face is almost pale from pain struggles in a 3 hour match only to lose? Damn I could watch it all day. You know what was even funnier? The fact that Murray already secured a place in the semi-finals but was so obsessed with beating Federer that he got owned by Davydenko in the next round 6-1 6-4 or something.

Maybe you have forgotten about Donald Young and Alex Bogomolov? lol. But I guess you're pretty good at selective memory.

If Fed wins the title, he had a better year. If he doesn't, it's a toss up.

I know it is absolutely not the subject of this thread, but maybe they should skip the semis for the wtf.
Maybe it will make round matches more challenging for the players, especially those who feel tired or mentally exhausted at the end of the season. Of course tournament organizers and tv wont agree, but I'm conviced mentally it would help the players give their best and not tank round matches...

The end of year finals are so much more impressive to win because of the fatigue of playing for 10 months saying Federer should have had to beat Murray Djokovic and nadal who he beat handily isn't fair considering they had an opportunity to make it to a point where they would play him they just couldn't cuz their younger legs let them down...

Just once, I would like to see people stop drawing arbitrary lines and admit the truth: it is a credit to Federer that he is able to perform this well this late in the season and say relatively injury/fatigue/unmotivated-free vs. the other top players....and that is a demerit to the rest of the top 4 that they haven't been able to do what Federer has. They all have their credits -- Djokovic his all-time great season, Nadal his FO, Murray whatever got him to #4 -- but lets be fair here. |

I'm sure you don't like Nadal's lone USO win in which he didn't face Federer, or Jokers AO 2008 , or Nadal's WO win over Fed, etc etc for similar reasons.
