Great article. It pretty much establishes that the Masters Season end championship (the same as the current WTF) was a major for most of the 80's. In the article it says that only roland garros, wimbledon, us Open and the Masters were the only tournament to consistenly have all of the top 5 players competing.

From 1980. 'til 1991 Year end Top 5 players played together no more than 4 tournaments in season (5 in 1987.)... shame, cause we missed many more great matches if the Tour was like today Last edited by Nadal_Power : 11-29-2011 at 03:26 AM. |
