Default Got to hit with the next Pure Drive

A babolat rep came to my club and let me hit with the Pure Drive coming out in February. It had good power and spin. Had excellent control. It is also a blackish color. He also showed us a string called rpm team. It's a softer version of rpm blast. The racket was strung with the rpm team.

Cool, do you have any pics, also I'm intrigued with the new rpm team strings. I use the rpm blast, I wonder if there is a noticeable difference between the two.

^^^ this thread is like those Audi commercials with the guy who has an A8 in the driveway but ignores it while his friends marvel at his good fortune.

Yea I played with the RPM team as well, not a bad string but Im not a RPM fan anyways so I can't comment much on either, agreed the new pure drives are pretty sweet, waiting for the plus model to come in and then I will give it a whirl, Babolat did a great job with the cosmetics...

Apart from the look, isn't it supposed to be exactly like the current one?

I've played extensively with it and have posted pictures but alas they came down. If you want pictures, email me. I have spent a good bit of time with the 2012 PD+ and will switch to it as soon as I can get my hands on a couple copies. I am an APDC+ user but have leaded mine to 338 grams. The new PD plays like you would expect but it has a different feel to it this time. It plays rock solid, like the original version and swirly. My hitting partner plays with the swirly and the new PD feels spot on with it. The stiffness of the PD from what I was told would be 71 or 73 unstrung. String it up and it's similar flex to my APDC's. The main difference between my APDC and the new PD is the solid feel. To me, APD's have always (yes, including GT) had a hollow feel to them but the results have been good, I've played my best tennis with the stick. However, this PD was too good to put down. Rock solid stick.... Just remember, this is the + that I've had my hands on.....

Congratulations - these remarks have got my attention! BTW I've seen the pics and I like the new darker cosmetics... like the Swirly eh? Hmm...

That is because PD Swirly and new PD have the same stiffness of 75
