so i went to the orthopedist today to get my wrist checked out, which i originally hurt playing golf, but which has bothered me while hitting.

sprained triangular fibrocartilage complex ligament. have to wear a brace for two weeks.

bummer.

especially since jolly lent me a wrist wrap that seemed to work pretty well as i was able to hit pain-free with dennis a little while on monday.

most have been the "jolly juice" it was covered in, seepin' down to the bone like 'tussin.

meanwhile, day 14 of being a unemployed recent college graduate has brought no further future endeavors.

combined with no tennis for the foreseeable future, life's looking pretty sh*tty. if things don't pick up soon i'm gonna have to knock over a bank or something to maintain my high maintenance lifestyle.

I have 3 weeks left to rest from tendinitis in my wrist. So I feel you pain man. Been riding my bike a lot and exploring different areas. Really makes it easier to have another good exercise to do so you don't go nuts.

Every day that passes with jolly being UDC, hope that he will return to his old ways of pillaging and plundering on and off the tennis court diminishes.

There is very little chance that Jolly will come back. He called me the other day, asking me advice about lawning mowing equipment and where to buy the best plaid polyester high riser shorts? He confessed that he had sinned in his youth by trying to hit the cover off the ball and that in his dottage he is going around pleading with the juniors to just caress the ball over the net with kindness and love. They usually call security and have him escorted out of the clubs.

He told me that the weather is still too cold for him to be outside without his lap blanket and that maybe when July comes around and the weather is warmer, he'll come by the park in his velour track suit, drink his Ensure meal replacement drink and sermonize us about his wasted youth, how it is never too late and lead everyone in singing "Amazing Grace".

So Jolly is missing in action? I did look up his recored he was 0-3 for 2011 I guess he was hurt? He has an overall record of 20-46 for mens open in the east. So Jolly got married, hope he got a prenup don't want that chick getting half his racquets and hats and the rest of his forture in gear.

What do you think of the blx 95 6.1 non pro staff? Thats my main squeeze now, and seems like a stick you could do damage with. Geat for big baseline play.

Started out 2012 with a loss tonight in 9.0. 2&4. But the Giants won, and I had a tasty burger, and many beers, so all in all a good day.

My serve is about half way there, volleys are ok, groundies are good. Return was hot and cold in first set, great in 2nd set. I poached a lot, and was mostly successful.

Match was at my least favorite club, far the heck away, odd lighting, and Har-Tru that the ball really doesn't bounce up on. Dry, thick, and sandy. A very odd playing surface.

Back is a little sore, but I did a lot of serve and volley practicing yesterday. So that is to be expected. Will see how it feels in the morning.

2hbh return was nice, even though I was using the BLXPS and its damnable tiny grip.

I missed one easy volley, and missed one overhead terribly, but other than that played pretty cleanly. Also wasn't quite as sharp on half volleys as I have been in recent weeks, but I went on a nice run over the past two weeks and was due to come back down to my usual level of forecourt play.

Considering today a success, and rewarding myself with a nice Beaujolais nouveau.
