Default Rusedski

Anybody else notice that Greggie was playing with a Donnay frame, wearing Donnay clothes, but sporting a brand new Dunlop hat?
Did anybody tell Greggie that your logos should match if you're a pro? Unless, of course, he's endorsing Dunlop hats now....

Rabbit, I think matching logos are the least of Rusedski's worries! Looks like his career is pretty much over.

You'ld think a 6'5 lefty with a huge serve would be a bit more successful on grass at least.

I was surprised to see he won the Newport event, as weak as the field is. Hey Rabbit, Greggie doesn't tell YOU how to dress at work so what gives? LOL

It is because Donnay (Sports Soccer) have brought Dunlop and Slazenger.

So Donnay, Dunlop and Slazenger are now all part of one.

He has a choice of 3 brands to use/wear now.

I don't think Rusedski's career has been that hindered by injuries, more by his own nerves, particularly at Wimbledon. With all those grasscourt wins, amazing he didn't reach the semis even once.

I agree Kevin. I think the truth is he got about as far as his game warranted. Amazing serve, fair volley, slightly erratic groundstrokes, good athleticism, fast but awkward movement. The last point was the killer in my mind, even when his groundstrokes were working well he just didn't have the sublime balance and agility of the champions....

As a lefty who like to attack but (at 50) gets mixed results, I have to say that Rusedski had a great run at Newport. Granted, the field wasn't that strong, but he played the big points well and went for his shots and his second serves. The guy's overall game isn't that great; sometimes I think even I could pass him with the dipper. He could make occasional noise at the U.S. Open or Wimbledon, but his time is running low. One true thing: S&V players mature later and have the potential for longer careers on the back end.

Greg is on a roll!!!

Winning last week and now he beat Taylor Dent.

I have to admit though, when I heard on the news "Greg is back on the grass"

I thought he was back to his old tricks

Didn't he make a US Open semi or final one year?
