I'm meeting a lady to play tennis in or around Charlotte. Can anyone tell me the nicest or most popular public courts in that area? Thanks....

There aren't that many public courts near Charlotte. You could try the public courts at Jeff Adams Tennis Center 704-336-3854 off S. Tryon.

I used to live in Cornelius (just north of Charlotte), and played at three of the above mentioned parks.
Jeff Adams was my favorite of the three. Just be sure to call and confirm which league teams have courts reserved. If you don't, I'm sure you'll be rudely asked to relocate by 4.0 players who take themselves way too seriously. Happened to me several times until I started checking in advance. To be fair, the reservations are usually posted near the clubhouse. Hornets Nest was also pretty nice, though in a part of town some didn't feel comfortable in. 10-12 courts (I don't remember specifically) that usually got pretty busy around 6:30-7pm on week nights. Beatty Park has 6 courts, I believe. Every time I played there only one other court was taken. Nothing to write home about, but you usually don't have to vie for court time. If you're in north Charlotte/Huntersville area, go a little further north to exit 28 on 77. Jetton Road park. 8 courts or so. Very nice facility. This was my personal favorite.
