Default Kiefer says NO to nCode

Don't know if any of you have noticed, but after switching to the nSix-One 95 for Roland Garros, Halle, and Wimbledon (and doing terribly in the last two!) Nicolas Kiefer has decided to go back to his racquet of old.

Here's a pic of him playing without the nCode at the Mercedes-Benz tournament that kicked off in L.A. yesterday.

Do we expect Fed to do the same for the hardcourt tournaments and go back to his good 'ol Tour 90?

L.

Hmm, how do I say this without getting anyone into trouble...

So, I'm sitting at the LA tournament and a player walks up to me and hands me a broken Wilson racquet with an nCode paintjob, says it was left at the practice courts and asks me if I want it just for fun. Doesn't know who it belonged to. My first question, is this really an nCode? Answer: Nah, its probably a Pro 6.1. Are you using an nCode? Nah, I don't think anyone on the tour really is. Then he told me what he was really using (don't remember what he said, I'll take a look at the TW site and see if anything rings a bell).

Gave the racquet to a very happy tennis playing kid nearby. He said he was going to tell his friends it was Taylor Dent's because it had a Tourna-grip on it and TD uses those. Seemed a little light to me for someone like Taylor.

And yeah, Nic played at 9:45 pm Monday night, and his facial hair does not look like that these days, so its an old picture. Try Getty Images for something newer.

It sure looks like a surge. Interesting how many people think the Ncode is better than the Surge. The Surge is just a Babalot Pure Drive with Perimeter waiting.
Try it before you decide, it is a solid frame. Maybe Wilson should paint it red and raise the price, and then customers would rave about how great it is. I thought the Wilson Tour was a great frame, lasted little over a year, then Wilson scrapped it.

drakulie, you're a broken record man. Funny, but broken record just the same.

.....if it is an old picture, then my bad for the mistake.......

....Anders, I may make mistakes from time to time and will be man enough to admit them..........but you, well that will always will stay with you...

Radical Shot, Bee65N- Thanks guys! I just want to make sure my point is made-and annoy people who keep bringing up this stupid topic.

Believe me, I am as sick of it as you guys. And, since it does not seem to just go away, I decided to be as annoying as possible.

Hey drakulie,
Just because you use a PS 6.0 85 does NOT mean that Federer does, too! Like I've said before, I'm pretty much convinced he is using a PS 6.0 90. The racquet head he uses does not look at all like a 85 but more like a 90. I use both the 85 and the 95 and what Federer is swinging does not look like either but something in between.

I'm sure lelopez is devastated by his loss of credibility on these esteemed boards. We'll see if he can pull it together to post again.

The Federer racket question has been beaten to death on these boards. He uses some sort of Pro Staff size 92.
