I think Anna K has a much more legitimate shot at a comeback.
Anna actually played some good tennis; sure she was rusty at times which is natural with her back issues and being away from the game for over a year. She was able to hit winners from all over the court, personally I think she can be ready to compete again soon. All she needs is a little more court time and a coach to put her back into match shape; not to mention that she just turned 23; so obviously she is much younger. I think she should play only doubles until the end of this year and next year go back to singles. Monica, on the other hand, was just a mere shadow of her former self. It's sad. Not only is the ending of her career sad, the stabbing also took years from her career as well. Monica is tuff-as-nails and she'll be missed. She really was going to be tested playing singles. I don't think that was good move especially with her just coming back. Like Anna K she should have played doubles AT LEAST the first 2 or 3 matches. Nonetheless, that may have not have made the difference.... ________ Bondage cuffs Last edited by Andy Zarzuela : 04-16-2011 at 12:23 AM. |
