Looking at Susan's website on Nadal, I noticed that Nadal went back to Nike Air Breathe (Breathe II) from the Vapors.
That's interesting considering his recent stress factures... It's certainly a wild guess but could it have been caused by the switch from a mid to low ankle support? Vamosrafa, if you read this, could you please email me? I have an easy question for you ;) |

BTW, a friend of mine took lots of photos of Rafa in Stuttgart, including one of his shoes (or perhaps it was his left foot). Here it is -- a great close-up.

I don't recall anyone endorsed by Nike switching that fast from one style to another... That'd be interesting to know whether it relates to his injury.

If I read anything about it, I'll let you know.
Otherwise, I'll try to ask him at the U.S. Open, assuming he is there. He has a full schedule between now and then -- hope he stays healthy! He beat Chela today, so that was a good win for him. |
