Man, WTF is Andy Roddick doing playing Nadal like tennis? Standing 12 ft. behind the baseline and returning serve? I'm getting really fed up with him. He needs to straighten up and fly right. On the plus side his skills at the net are improving.

I actually think Roddick DID watch those old tapes of himself. Overall he looked so much better tonight. He was hitting agressively, coming forward more, dictating with the forehand. And he used the slice as an occasional mix-in (as he should) rather than a constant backhand rally shot. His second serves (minus the double faults) even looked harder/kickier than they have been lately.

But he still sinks back behind the baseline when he feels pressure during the rallies--that's gonna hurt him when he plays the take-the-ball-early types (Agassi, Federer).
