The sad thing is Roddick was fighting throughout the match. He was trying his hardest on every point. It's such a simple situation that I can't understand why he doesn't see it. He takes forever to wind up for each shot, he doesn't get the best angles, and there's not enough pace - as a result, he doesn't hit that many winners. His backhand is a whole other story.

Did anyone watch him yell "F*** YOU!"? It was so loud and audible it might as well have been yelled by the announcers. This guy has a short temper.

The umpire, due to the point beforehand being replayed. It had something to do with the umpires microphone I think.

The F/U got the code violation - warning.

I didn't think A/R played badly, certainly not great. Andreev play a very good match. He was really zeroed in. But a top 10 player has to come up with a way to impose their will over a much lower ranked player. Andy is a head case right now and has lost his confidence. I don't think he thinks he can truly beat anyone right now. That thought is affecting everything he does on court. Dumb shots, falling back into defensive positions, poor shot selection. He goes way too much for the runaround forehand and leaves the whole ad court way open. Andreev was eating this up. Andy doesn't have the foot speed to recover. And I agree with several of you that it looked like he ran out of gas in the third set. Could have been a combination of conditioning and fear of losing. A killer.

Here's that wicked inside out forehand you're taking about. It's pretty good to watch up close.

I watched the two previous matches and he was playing well. Solderling got tight or the match was his. Had to go back to work, so no more IW. I didn't see the match, just reading comments.
