Default Worst ATP players of all time

We've had the debates, ad nauseum, about the best players of all time. Maybe we've had this debate too, but I'll bring it anyway.

Worst ones, by record, of all time? Who you got?

Federer and Nadal, they're just a couple of 5.0's

Worst ATP player - somebody who qualified for one single ATP event in their whole career, lost first round, and never again qualified for another ATP event.

I doubt any of us here have heard his name, though if someone wants to explore the recordbooks to find such a player, they can.

Receiving 20 wildcards and going 0-20 would be worse, right?

The moonballer who should've taken up a fulltime career in fishing instead.

If all anyone had was to see that horrible match, I don't blame anyone an ounce for thinking that. Embarassing.

But that's staying in the past now, and things are improving slowly.

Now, back to the original topic at hand. Would Vince Spadea be considered for that distinction?

Probably the worst player to have ATP points is Mark Ein, owner of the Washington Kastles. He was 43 when he got Kevin Kim to partner with him in doubles and won a round in the main draw of an ATP event by retirement several years back. He is basically a decent recreational player that bought himself a WC and got lucky.

So can John McEnroe, Rod Laver, and Chris Evert.

Gulbis is lazy, complacent, and spoiled by his $$Daddy$$, but he's not the "worst" ATP player by any means. Don't forget that this lazy, complacent doofus has wins over GS champions FedError, Djoker, and Pony...

Verdasco by far. He is genetically designed to be unable to beat Nadal no matter how badly Nadal is playing. Have you seen their match in 2011 Cincy which is probably Nadal's worst tournament every season.

It's tough to say, because if you are good enough to get some points, it's a hell of an achievement, and you can have that hot day where you can beat almost anyone. I grew up playing with a guy who played sporadically for several years, never really making a career out of it, but he had a win over Mats Wilander. Now anyone who can say they beat Mats Wilander can certainly say they weren't the worst player of all time, but he wasn't really much of an "ATP player", even though he had points and a ranking.

Ridiculous suggestion.
