No. He was a fairly reasonable journeyman player - got to AO semis, got to top 20 - who had a bad streak for a while, which he later came back from.

I suspect Goober got it right.

Interestingly, I checked his record, and he's tried that a few times - and he got a SECOND win in some other tournament! Also by retirement.

Verdasco by far. He is genetically designed to not beat federer, no matter how bad Fed is playing.

Hmm that is interesting it happened twice! Can we say payoff?

BTW Robert Dee would double bagel Mark Ein easily. Even though people make fun of him, he actually has won multiple times in qualifying rounds of future events which makes him at least 5.5 in my book.

If you lose 54 straight matches and 108 straight sets, you are indeed the worst. Robert Dee, please stand up!

Cool

I have to say that Gulbis is one of the softest players on tour, but I don't know about being the worst. He does have talent, it just doesn't seem to be a real priority to him to put it to use on a consistent basis.

Even being the worst on the tour means you're one of the best in world.

Maybe try to be a bit specific. "Worst player of all time" is so subjective.

"Worst current top 100 player" perhaps? Or "Most wasted talent in top 100"?
