Default Pro's that use head-heavy rackets?

Either their stock racket is head heavy or they alter it with lead tape so it ends up head heavy?

I'm talking about actually head heavy as in when you try to balance the racket mid-way though its length, the head (and not the handle) drops down.

Do you get more spin with a head-light racket and more flat power with a head-heavy one?

Murray and Nadal (Gasquet?) are those I suspect most, but I don't know...

Moyas was..Murray's is reported to be in a thread posted yesterday.

It matters the weight of the racquet and the player.

I know they add more weight to make their racquets more HH than stock, but at most stray close to even balance I think.

Justine Henin's Hyper Hammer was either head-heavy or close to it.

Serena Williams?

HH is a balance of 34.3cm or more for a standard length and 34.9cm or more for 27.5".

Moya, Nishikori, Nadal and Henin all reportedly in the head heavy camp... is head heavy good for topspin?

I'm really surprised with Nadal, the way he plays it would be so painful swinging a HH racquet like that. Can you refer me to a source that said this? Sorry I'm curious lol.

From what I know and been told HH adds more power at the expense of maneuverability, most beginners start out with HH and move to HL later on.

Beginners sticks can be HH, but the thing is that many pros are putting more weight into the head as well.

It is better to think of it as baseliners are more head heavy and net players are more head light.

I like my balance close to even because I can keep my racquet around 11.5 with a high SW, but the balance keeps my arm from floating out of the slot on my stroke.

Yea I've seen people put lead on the head to make it more HH, but playing with an overall HH racquet especially Nadal-like style, just imagining it makes me cringe.

A standard length racquet is ca. 685mm (or 27 inches * 25,4mm = 685,8mm).
That means an even balance is 342,5mm (or 342,9mm).

So it's head light.

Even if you take into account the supposed hoop compression making the racquet a 26 7/8 inch long that still make the even balance point at ca. 341mm.

Correct, OP making a really elementary arithmetic error.

Why? It is better that way. Nadal's stick is light for a pro, so you want it weighted more head heavy than head light.

He is still hl, but not as much. It is definitely the way to go for me.

"Do you get more spin with a head-light racket and more flat power with a head-heavy one?"

i have been trying to figure this out somewhat.

i have two discount oversize wilson rackets. one is called a nFusion hybrid racket and it weights 9.8 ounces strung and claimes it is 3HH on the racket.

the other has hyper
-hammer hybrid 6 painted on it and it weighs about 11 ounces strung and has 7hh written on it.

the hyper hammer racket truly feels like holding a hammer. a lot of weight in the end of the racket.

for me, the hammer racket gives high power and better split second direction to my forehand but seems to slow my swing down and feels like less spin overall.

my backhands (top and slice) take a bit of labor and feel flatter as well, but less swing speed for the same amount pace than the lighter racket.

volleys are noticably more laborious too.

personally, i like the head heaviness on the forehand side...it gives a nice predictable whack to the ball with good depth.

tennis warehouse claims that federers wilson is 12.6 ounces, though i am not sure about the weight distibution on the racket but that seems heaby overall.
