Nike Spring 2013 Predictions/Hopes/Wants Thread

Around this time every year I start a early Spring thread for members to discuss their predictions, hopes and wants for the new upcoming tennis year.

I will start.

Federer:
- Mint Green crew with black shorts, black bandana and mint green shoes. Very sleek looking.
- It will be the 10th Vapor so I think Nike have something special planned.
- Hoping for a Day/Night outfit for Australian Open 2013.
- Red polo for IW/Miami

Nadal:
- A true Aqua (think Miami Dolphins) mock neck zipper. I want Nike to put Rafa in something other than a crew.
- Return of the Capri pants with a different approach. Even if it was for Spring/Summer I would love to see Rafa back in some Capris.
- I think Nike are going to stick with the .3's so expect Rafa in a 5.3.
- Purple for IW/Miami

Del Potro:
- Bright Fushia crew.

Post your predictions/hopes/wants and we will see who guessed correctly early June.

I would love a retro version or re-release of the vapor speeds like what they did with the breathe 2k10s. Also a zipper crew or another henley would be awesome.

I just want federer in a dark (Dark Navy, Black, etc) polo with pinstripes. I would also kill for some maroon.

As long as they don't make Vapor 10: Clown Edition, I'll be down for some new Vapors.

My no.1 wish would be the Vapors to be more durable. Yes, this sounds ridiculous but I have only used vapor for the last couple of years and there were times that I afraid to move a lot because that would destroy the soles lol.

Another unrealistic wish is Nike's gonna use embroidered logos, I have had too many swoosh-es came off already!

Since Nike is pushing new foamposite crap, I'm sure we will see a new foamposite tennis shoe.

I'm pretty sure that the Vapor X will be very special. Exposed flywire like the Lunar Glide 4 or Flyknits? Probably encorporating hyper fuse still.


I don't know why but I see a new line replacing the CBs.


For clothes PLEASE put Fed in green so babolast can stop predicting he will wear green for spring/summer/fall/winter etc.


Should we see pics soon? Last year we got the Vapor 9 and CB 4.3 pics in june.

For IW/MI: black and yellow, USO 2010 esq, but with more yellow and less black.

CB 5.3s: 6 month durability, nice vibrant colours, maybe some lunarlon in it (lol), or some of that new nike foam stuff

Rafa has been in Orange/Red 2008, 2010 and 2011. I really hope Nike wont him in those colours.

Here is my list for Federer:
Gorge green polo (like Wimbledon 2011) or what ever Nike call it with white short maybe black short and black wristband and shoes for night matches.
White polo, black short for post AO. Nike has put RF in that combination since fall 2008 i think.
Some bright color crew/polo for Miami football blue perhaps.
For the Vapor X: no lime'cyber/volt accent please. Would love to see the highlighted heel design again like Vapor 4 to 6

Delpo will probably be what he is often: conservative crew colours, maybe a calm blue, or a nice yellow. nothing crazy though.

Berdych: I don't really like him as a person, so I'd like to see him dropped in favour of Putting more money into the possible Djokovic deal

The current 4.3s have lunar? Haha foam material isn't new in any way...

LOL! You know what's going to happen: Nike will plan a green shirt for Fed - and Fed will retire before he wears it.

Said it before: Nike needs to stop making Fed's gear so dull. a) add some cool venting on the back like the mid-2000's; b) platinum, gold, or silver.
