I feel like I have to ask this every year but what are the cut offs etc. I mean where do you have to be ranked to safely expect to get in? Will the new (is it new) computer ranking affect things?

It will depend on the amount of automatic qualifiers from conferences without teams with rankings in field automatically. The cut-off in the past two years has been in the 42-45 range

This year is 47 I believe. 64 spots - 17 conferences who are already ranked inside the top 45 or so. Just subtract the 17 to get 47.

So if the computer is taking things into account like strength of schedule etc it should actually mean something?

The computer rankings are typically used to fill out the field once the automatic bids have been assigned. The only thing a "Selection committee" does in tennis is determine seeding, pairings, and host sites for the first two rounds.
