Default NorCal kid wins Easter Bowl ITF....

Congrats to Mac and his win, first time a Nor Cal kid has won it. If he stays healthy will be interesting to see him develop. Great kid.

Nice kid, great tournament! Beat some good players pretty soundly.

Yeah, right around this time, went to watch him play high school championship and he had to play dubs because he was still weak. I loved his game when he was 12, now he's looking strong.

Yea, I saw MacDonald play in of all places, a local junior open level tournament last year playing in the 18s. It puzzled me because I heard about the guy and was wondering what the hell he was doing in an Open level tournament, while in the same weekend, there was a bigger/higher level tournament going on in Sacramento. It must have been a sponsorship commitment thing. Anyway, I was amazed at his game. The guy is the purest ball striker I have ever seen bar none. I was looking from a distance and you could see the fuzz coming off the ball at each hit. He seemed to be toying with his opponent who got 1 game off of him. Yea, there was rumors that he was really ill that comes from gossip talk among players/parents Then next thing I see, he comes in second in a Junior Grand slam event and wins the Easter Bowl. Glad he has recovered from a very serious illness. There is an article about that in Zoo tennis. I wonder if he will go straight to the pros after HS or do the college route for 1-2 years. Coaches must be salivating at the thought....
